Crystal's My Favorite Thing Party!

You know any party that involves taking home gifts, hanging out with good friends, and enjoying good food is going to be an instant winner!  When my friend Crystal asked me to help with this fabulous party, I was so excited.  So how it works is that each guest picks one item that she loves & uses often.  It can be a kitchen utensil, food, lip gloss, lotion, and the list goes on!  Then, she brings 5 of that item & during the party she'll have a chance to explain why she loves this item. Then she'll draw 5 names & each person will receive her favorite thing.  Each guest is in the drawing 5 times so they get to go home with 5 things!  How fun is that?!
So one of Crystal's favorite things is Jane Austen, so what a better theme for the party decor.  We had so much fun incorporating quotes, silhouettes, and other vintage details inspired by the great Jane Austen!
To give her guests a little treat, Crystal came up with the idea of an Italian soda bar.  You just pick a flavor or 2, add a splash of cream, and then top off the glass with club soda.  Really refreshing and it was a big hit!
The treats don't stop with the soda bar, the food was fabulous as well.  She created an amazing menu of lemon scones, pear bars, spinach & artichoke dip, rock buns, sausage biscuits  and cucumber sandwiches.  Everything was amazing!
To compliment all this gorgeous food I chose to create a table with simple black & white text, moss, and a few vintage items.
Of course Crystal's favorite thing was a copy of Pride & Prejudice, a Jane Austen classic!
Here are a few of the Favorite Things exchanged at the party.
